Gullfaxi
Means "Golden Mane". Steed of the Giant Hrungrir. He could gallop through air, and once he took part in a race with Odin on Sleipner and passed in to Thor's hands when the god slew Hrungnir. He was desired by Odin, but Thor gave him to his own son, Magni.

Gullinbursti
Means "Golden Bristles". Supernatural boar with fantastic running speed made by the Dwarfs Brokk and Eitri. Was given to Loki, who gave it to Freyr. It pulled Freyr's chariot and became his symbol.

Gulltop
Heimdall's mount. A magnifisant horse with golden mane, great speed and flying powers.

Hildisvini
A boar that can travel at great speed. Freyja's servant and symbol. Lent his form to Ottar when he went with Freyja to visit Giantess Hyndla to obtain a list of Ottar's ancestors.

Ratatosk
Squirrel who runs up and down the trunk Yggdrasil trading insults between Nidhogg and an eagle that sits in the top branches of the tree. It's personality is spiteful and gossip and he's known to be a trouble-maker.

Sleipnir
Son of Loki and Svadilfari. Born from Loki while in disguise as a mare. Loki gave him to Odin as a peace offering. Was loyal to Odin and carried him on many adventures. He's a eight legged horse who can gallop with equal ease on land, sea and air.

Svadilfari
Father of Sleipnir. Known for carrying stones from quarry to rebuild Asgard's wall. Worked for the Rock Giant. Used by Loki to prevent the Giant completing his contract and carrying off his rewards. Loki took form of a mare and lured Svadilfari into the woods. The Giant could not finish the work without him.
